Based on the phonetic knowledge, we focused on F0 difference in first two syllables of all prosodic words (excepts sentence-final words) in large Czech speech corpora recorded for the purpose of TTS. According to phonetic experts, the F0 should be increasing. However, there are some exceptions in the recorded prompts which have to be inspected before including this knowledge in cost computation in the unit selection method.
